Program Goals

The Social Impact, Innovation, and Investment course at NYU Wagner focuses on key learning objectives. Our students will develop a comprehensive understanding of the theories, frameworks, and practices related to social impact, innovation, and investment. They will explore how these concepts intersect and interact within the context of addressing complex social challenges. They will learn to apply rigorous methodologies and measurement tools to measure and communicate social outcomes. Lastly, our students will develop the practical skills needed to design and implement innovative solutions that drive positive social change while considering financial sustainability and scalability. They will explore various funding mechanisms and investment strategies to maximize social impact and achieve long-term sustainability.

Format Title Capstone
Format Description
Capstone brings together teams of graduate students to address complex challenges and identify new opportunities for nonprofit, governmental, health-related, urban planning, and international agencies. Project teams approach their assignments with initiative and professionalism. They organize and frame their projects into a thorough work plan that results in a carefully considered final product. Every team produces a written report and conducts a final presentation of their findings and recommendations.
