| Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity | As an emerging 501c(3) non-profit organization, The Inteleos Foundation (IF) has been working on improving global healthcare systems through healthcare technology and innovation. One of the challenges Inteleos Foundation faces is creating and building everything from scratch and establishing the organizational infrastructure to reach our potential donors, volunteers, and partners. Understanding and navigating legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements of a global non-profit organization is complex and time-consuming for a small staff. We would like support in drafting policy and processes, leading risk analyses, and ensuring proper compliance in receiving and granting funds to and from the organization. To achieve our mission, the IF operates four signature programs:
Each of the four signature programs do require unique legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements apart from the essential documents and processes. For an example, it is critical to map the entire process of giving scholarships and grants to an international healthcare professional. With each step, the IF requires to address indemnity clauses, mitigate risks in financial processes to transfer money to a different country or region, and be in compliance with local data and privacy laws of the grantee.

| Project Synopsis: Expected Results | The first key deliverable we are looking to accomplish is to create policies and procedures for each of our 4 signature programs to ensure ethical, equitable service delivery, clear objectives and measurable impact, and proper compliance for both funders and program participants. For the second deliverable, we also need to develop clear fundraising (internal flow) and funding (external flow) procedures. As a Foundation, we will both be receiving incoming revenue and giving grants/scholarships outward, so it is critical to have a formalized workflow for both processes.
