| Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity | Hope for New York currently supports over a dozen organizations throughout the city addressing food insecurity by operating food pantries and serving meals. We believe there is a major opportunity to increase our impact by forming a "Hunger Collective" and leveraging the power of our network by 1) mobilizing resources for our affiliates, 2) centralizing purchasing, 3) providing logistics support, and 4) standardizing impact reporting.
| Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required | Each of the 4 network opportunities outlined above can be viewed as an independent workstream that will have a set of activities and deliverables. Each will require differing levels of research and outreach to partners, as well as practical implementation to establish feasibility and opportunity.
| Project Synopsis: Expected Results | This project will have a great mix of research, strategy, and implementation. We would like to pilot several initiatives to demonstrate some quick wins while creating a strategic plan that outlines what the HFNY Hunger Collective should do over the next 1, 3, and 5 years.
