Anti-Recidivism Coalition
Our mission: The Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC) works to end mass incarceration in California. To ensure our communities are safe, healthy, and whole, ARC empowers formerly and currently incarcerated people to thrive by providing a support network, comprehensive reentry services, and opportunities to advocate for policy change. Through our grassroots policy advocacy, we are dedicated to transforming the criminal justice system so that it is more just and equitable for all people.

About Anti-Recidivism Coalition
ARC is a California-based non-profit that offers direct services and opportunities for civic engagement and advocacy to thousands of currently and formerly incarcerated people across the state. ARC's direct services for formerly incarcerated people include transitional and permanent housing, free therapy, workforce development, life coaching, and education. ARC also offers credible messenger programming inside nearly every California prison though its Hope and Redemption Team, which was recently commended by a resolution passed in the California Legislature.
Finally, ARC offers opportunities for civic engagement and advocacy. We work on the local levels in Los Angeles and Sacramento, on the state level in California, and Federally. ARC and partners have passed countless local ordinances, 35 bills in California, and have recently introduced four bills in Congress. We accomplish this by empowering formerly incarcerated people to share their stories and experiences, changing hearts and minds of stakeholders and creating the political will to replace regressive legislation with fair and just policy.
With strong supports, ARC has had the pleasure of seeing its members avoid the many pitfalls of the justice system and reentry to create lives that they love and become incredible leaders in their communities.
