Established on June 25, 1959, Tribhuvan University (TU) is Nepal's first national institution of higher education. Located in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, TU spans 154.77 hectares and comprises 62 constituent campuses and over 1,000 affiliated colleges nationwide. The university offers approximately 1,000 undergraduate and 500 postgraduate programs across diverse fields, including arts, sciences, commerce, and education. As a non-profit, autonomous institution funded by the Government of Nepal, TU plays a pivotal role in the country's educational landscape, aiming to produce qualified human resources, conduct research, preserve Nepali culture, and develop academic standards.
