I graduated from SUNY Potsdam in the Fall of 2018, and was among the first class of the Law Enforcement Institute to graduate from SUNY Potsdam in 2016. I currently am not pursuing a career in law enforcement, but that does not mean that isn't a possibility for the future. Nonetheless, there were numerous lessons learned from the academy under the leadership and guidance of Director Duquette. The lessons and skills learned throughout the academy will be instilled in me forever. Whether it may be descalation in extreme events to ensure safety or making sure everything is squared away to ensure a professional and respectable approach to every situation. Even though I currently bartend I do use a various amounts of skills learned from the academy, especially descalation when doing security at my job.
