Students in NYU Wagner’s Urban Planning Capstone Program are graduate students pursuing their Master of Urban Planning (MUP). They are emerging professionals deeply engaged in shaping the built environment through planning, policy, and design with an emphasis on equity, sustainability, and community engagement. These students bring diverse academic and professional backgrounds in public policy, real estate, architecture, economics, transportation, and community development. Their training emphasizes systems thinking, spatial analysis, stakeholder consultation, and strategic planning. Through their Capstone experience, they apply these skills to help public agencies, nonprofits, and community organizations tackle pressing urban challenges.
