About Educational Alliance

Educational Alliance has served Lower Manhattan since 1889. Originally a settlement house for Jews immigrating to New York City, the history of the Lower East Side and the history of Educational Alliance are deeply intertwined. Today, EA is a proudly Jewish institution that partners with our neighbors throughout Lower Manhattan. We provide New Yorkers with high-quality, transformational programs that enhance their well-being and socio-economic opportunities, reflecting our belief that everyone in our city should be given the tools to thrive.
